What Is Energy Healing? A Beginner-Friendly Guide

If you've heard the term "energy healing" and wondered what it actually involves, you're not alone. More and more people are asking me about it, and I think that curiosity deserves a clear, grounded answer rather than anything mystical or complicated.

At its core, energy healing is based on the idea that the body has its own natural flow and that stress, injury, or illness can disrupt it. The goal of energy work is simple: help the body find its way back to balance.

What Is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique. During a session, I place my hands lightly on or just above your body, and the energy moves where your system needs it most. Some people feel warmth or a gentle pull. Others simply feel deeply relaxed. There's no single "correct" experience.

How Acupuncture Supports Energy Flow

Acupuncture and energy work share a similar philosophy: both aim to clear blockages and restore balance along the body's pathways. I often combine the two, using fine needles to send a signal to the body and Reiki to reinforce it. The result tends to feel more complete than either approach on its own.

What a Session Feels Like

My practice is intentionally small. I don't have multiple treatment rooms running at once, so I'm able to stay with you the entire time rather than stepping in and out. Sessions are calm, unrushed, and shaped around what your body is telling us that day.

Energy healing tends to appeal to people managing chronic pain, ongoing stress, sleep struggles, or simply a sense that something feels out of balance. You don't need any prior experience with acupuncture or Reiki to start. Curiosity is enough.
